Principal's Message

Welcome to New Horizon Canadian International School where we strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that fosters positive relationships between students, staff, families, and the community. At NHCS we believe that every child deserves to feel valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Our experienced and highly qualified teachers are passionate about teaching and are dedicated to creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that challenges and inspires our students. They are committed to providing personalised attention to every child and to promoting a growth mindset that encourages students to embrace challenges and to learn from their mistakes. To achieve a well rounded education, we prioritise social-emotional learning, literacy, numeracy, physical education, and the arts. We believe that learning should be fun, exciting, and impactful, and we strive to create an environment that inspires creativity, innovation, and a love of learning.

Establish Healthy Habits for success at school for kids

Eat a Healthy Breakfast: Provide a healthy breakfast each morning.

Create Predictable After School Routines: A predictable after-school routine helps your child know what to expect. Might I suggest: have a snack together while you talk about the day, empty their backpack together and look for any forms and newsletters from the teacher as well as any homework to complete. Don’t forget to Include time for physical activity and play.

Designate a Space: Designate a place to keep the items your child needs for school each day so it is easier for them to stay organized.

Establish a Bedtime Routine: Choose a bedtime that will give your child at least eight hours of sleep. Turn off screens one hour before bedtime. Use this time to read a book, work on a puzzle, colour, or play a quiet game together.
